Year 6

Welcome to Year 6 – A Year of Adventure, Achievement and New Beginnings

Year 6 is an unforgettable and exciting final year of primary school. Our journey begins with a three‑day residential trip to Marchant’s Hill, where children challenge themselves through outdoor adventures, team‑building activities and opportunities to grow in confidence and independence.

Throughout the year, the children work hard to prepare for their Key Stage 2 SATs, showing determination, courage and pride in everything they’ve learned during their time at primary school. Alongside academic milestones, we also focus on supporting children through their transition to secondary school, helping them develop the skills, friendships and self-belief they need for the next stage of their education.

As the year draws to a close, we celebrate our time together with a very special Leavers’ Service at Winchester Cathedral, a memorable moment to reflect on achievements, engage in exciting workshops and look ahead to the exciting opportunities that await.

Year 6 is a year of challenge, celebration and lasting memories and we can’t wait to share this journey with the children.
