Year 5 is an exciting time to shine, grow, and discover new possibilities!
Mrs Price leads the Year 5 team, supported by Mrs Slater, Mrs Sewell and Mrs Nevitt. Together, we are committed to helping every child become a confident, independent and resilient learner, while nurturing a genuine love of learning.
Our learning each term is guided by key Concepts that run throughout the curriculum. These ideas help deepen understanding, spark curiosity and inspire thoughtful discussion. Carefully chosen books and units of work support these concepts and enrich the learning experience across each half term.
In Year 5, we celebrate effort, kindness and positive attitudes every day. Children can earn house points, marbles in the jar, and our special Values Crown—all encouraging teamwork, perseverance and pride in their achievements.
