Our Governors

Welcome to our Governors' Section:

Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.

Serving as a school governor at Charles Kingsley's Primary School is a challenging role, but hugely rewarding too. We work closely with the head teacher and other members of the school staff.

Our work focuses mainly on three core functions:

  1. setting the school's strategic framework and ensuring all statutory duties are met;
  2. acting as a 'critical friend', supporting the head teacher and holding them to account for the day-to-day running of the school;
  3. overseeing the school's financial performance and ensuring its money is well-spent.

The information below will give you more information about what we do and how we do it, along with a full list of who we are and a declaration of our interests.

Should you wish to contact us, several of us are regularly in the playground for drop-off or pick-up at the start or end of the day, so please do speak to one of us then. Alternatively, you can always write to us via the School Office.
